How We Protect Job Seekers

Job scams are common, and people looking for work are often the target. Here is exactly how Next Assignment works, so you know what to expect from us and what we will never do.

What we never do

• We never charge job seekers. Searching and applying is free.
• We never ask for your Social Security number, bank account, ID, or payment information.
• We never contact you out of the blue by email, text, or phone. The only emails we send are job alerts you sign up for yourself, and every one has an unsubscribe link. We never interview anyone.
• We do not collect resumes, and we do not buy, sell, or share contact lists.

How applying works

Every listing on Next Assignment names the real employer. When you click Apply, you leave our site and go to that employer’s own official job posting or application system. You apply directly with the employer. Next Assignment never sees your application.

Who pays for the site

Employers pay a flat fee to post a job. That is how the site is funded. Job seekers pay nothing.

Warning signs of a job scam

• You are asked to pay for training, equipment, or a background check up front.
• You are offered a job without an interview, or interviewed only by text or chat app.
• You are sent a check and asked to send part of the money back.
• The email comes from a personal address instead of the employer’s own domain.

If anything about a listing looks wrong, or someone contacts you claiming to be from Next Assignment, please tell us. We review every report and remove listings that are not legitimate. You can also report job scams to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
